Well done to our boys and girls winners and runners ups in Cusack Park. Super effort put in by everyone. Thanks to everyone who came in to support the teams and to everyone who helped out in any way, your help is always appreciated.
In Cusack Park on Sunday our school team represented Westmeath at the half time exhibition match between Westmeath and Meath.
Well done to all on getting our Eco Friendly National Schools Award at the Cathaoirleach Awards in Belvedere on Friday night. We appreciate all the hard work that everyone put in into the garden.

It’s been a busy week in the school garden. Thanks to all the staff and pupils for their hard work in getting our Sensory Garden up and running. It’s looking beautiful.

We are very busy getting ready for the Taghmon Parents Association Christmas Fair on Sunday, 4th December in the Old Taghmon School from 12-4 p.m. Hope to see you all there.
Many thanks to Parents/Guardians who have sent in their response to our Facebook Poll. It’s looking like we have huge support in favour of it and we are looking forward to getting this Page up and running.
Visitors to the School in November
- Wednesday, 16th November our Catechists, Antoinette Shaw and Davey Gavin will visit all classes in the school.
- Wednesday, 16th November Pupils from 6th Class will have a talk with Accord. Letters have went home today in their school bags. Parents/Guardians please sign the permission slip and return it to the Principal.
Music Outreach with Lorcan Daly from Mullingar Art Centre will commence on Friday, 11th November with pupils in 3rd, 4th, 5th classes for six weeks. On Monday, 19th December the pupils will attend a concert in the Art Centre as part of this programme.
Our Parents Association did a great job decorating the hall for the Spooky Halloween Disco. Great fun was had by all the pupils and staff.

Great fun was had by all the pupils at the Cross Country on Wednesday and we brought back 7 medals to the school. Well done to all our runners!!!
Cross Country in Belvedere on Wednesday, 28th September. Pupils from 2nd to 6th class will take part. Bus will leave the school at 11.00 and return for 2.30. Pupils are reminded to bring spare clothes in case of bad weather.
Music Generation has started on Thursday’s for the whole school and we would encourage all pupils to participate.

Wreath Making Workshop
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The pupils had great fun making their Festive Wreaths at the workshop on Thursday. Thanks to Terry Greene for all her hard work.

Every school is being presented with the Irish Flag and a copy of the Proclamation to mark the anniversary of the 1916 Rising. Cillian Scally read out part of the Proclamation and Áine Curran and Jamie Reilly received the Irish Flag.
Welcome Back to another school year and a big welcome to our new Junior Infants!
During the summer break we got our windows replaced in the front of the school. Our Parents Association also got the yard done out with playground markings which the children are having great fun with during break times. Many thanks to the Parents Association for this.
